Dr. Peter Waegli

Dr. Peter Waegli provides technology development services through his consultancy that he founded more than 20 years ago. Before, he served in leading positions in technology-oriented companies active in the areas of security sensors and systems, optics and fiber optics, telecommunication, and medical imaging. He is extensively using simulation for solving complex technical and scientific problems and can draw on a comprehensive expertise in photonics, sensor and microsystem technology, signal and image processing, and mathematical modeling and simulation.

Dr. Waegli has successfully provided his expertise to application areas such as process control, analytical instrumentation, photovoltaics and energy systems, information and communications technology (ICT), and others. His current interests are in using computational models to research new ideas and new opportunities in the areas of optical, analog, and neuromorphic technologies and to use affordable and ubiquitous tools (e.g., Excel) to make such models more directly accessible.

Dr. Waegli holds a Ph.D. in physics from University of Berne, Switzerland, and is a member of SPIE. He is the author/co-author of many scientific papers and conference presentations as well as inventor/co-inventor of several patents.
