Peter J. Kennedy received a BS in mechanical engineering from Lafayette College, Easton Pa., in 1971, an MS in industrial engineering from Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pa., in 1973, and an MS in electrical engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck, N.J., sponsored by the US Army Electronics Command, in 1978. Mr. Kennedy has over forty years of experience in precision pointing and stabilization control system design and analysis, infrared countermeasure (IRCM) system design and analysis, and IR missile tracking and guidance techniques. Specific experience includes design and development of directional IRCM and electro-optical EOIR systems for both airborne platforms and ground vehicles; test and evaluation of IR missile seeker and anti-tank guided missile trackers; and design and evaluation of stabilized pointing systems. Currently a systems engineer with Northrop Grumman Mission Systems, he has worked for Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems, De Chiaro Schweickert Consultants Inc. (DSCI), ITT Exelis Electronics Systems, David H. Pollock Consultants, Scitec Inc., ATT Bell Laboratories, and the US Army Electronic Warfare Laboratory. He is a licensed professional engineer in New Jersey since 1976.

Rhonda L. Kennedy received a BS in mathematics from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma and an MS in operations research from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. The majority of her work experience has been for the defense industry as a federal contractor in the area of facility security management. She also served as an information system security officer and technical assistant providing support to engineers. For the book, Stabilizing the Line of Sight, Rhonda participated as a technical assistant to co-author Peter J. Kennedy. She contributed to the writing of this book by providing data analysis and editing.
